Free Seminars Educate Seniors and Their Families on Steps for Downsizing

Just the thought of a downsizing move can cause fear, worry and stress for seniors and their families.  To assist with this daunting task, Senior Downsizing Experts Ingrid and John Sullivan have put together a free “Downsizing Made Easy” seminar.  The first two seminars of 2016 are scheduled for:

Thursday, January 14 at 1:00 pm at Chateau on Wildbriar Lake, 1515 Hard Rock Rd. in Irving.
Tuesday, January 19 at 2:00 pm at Greenfield Residences, 1100 E. Arbrook in Arlington.

The hour-and-a-half presentation covers a wide variety of topics including:

  • Factors to consider before making a move
  • Tips on communicating with family and friends
  • Guidance on hiring various professionals related to the moving process
  • Strategies for dealing with possessions
  • An overview of the current real estate market
  • A look at senior living options in the DFW area

The Sullivans urge attendees to consider all of these factors and look at all of the options available.  The seminar will include suggestions for creating a plan that allows for a new chapter of life requiring less maintenance and allowing for more freedom and fun.  “Careful planning and sound advice are crucial to a successful move,” says Ingrid.

Featured guest speakers will include specialists in Title and Escrow, Packing and Moving, Home Repair, and Estate Sales.  To reserve your spot for one of the free, thought-provoking, goal-setting seminars, call (817) 635-1043 or visit www.DallasFortWorthSeniorLiving.com/events.
